The First Post

This blog is a labor of love.

As a self-proclaimed expert on all things pop culture, I have decided that I need an avenue through which to share with the world my brilliant musings on the television shows, movies, bands and other random things that I enjoy that you too should be enjoying (or not, as the case may be). And what better way to explore these different mediums of contemporary culture than with the hottest and most popular medium of today, the internet?

As Time Magazine so brilliantly noted (or was it that they couldn't decide on anything good and knew that most of America would enjoy looking at their own reflections on the cover of a magazine?), our culture has opened its doors to every boy and girl who has some free time, a computer, and something to say. And since this blog is meant to be a headquarters for ruminations on the best and brightest gems of the entertainment world, what better way to reflect contemporary culture than with its most popular instrument?

This blog promises to daily discuss, recap, review and muse on the tv shows, movies, bands and stuff that I want you all to know about and to ponder as well. My hope is that this blog can serve as a one-stop shop for everything you need to know about what you should and should not be watching, listening to, appreciating, or wiping your ass with. Your comments and thoughts are vital to the mission of this blog and therefore are ALWAYS encouraged and appreciated. I'm still figuring out how this whole blogging thing works, so please pardon any disorganization as I get all the kinks worked out.

only you would create a blog with selling points: one that promises to deliver. you should run for class president, or senior vice pirate. i like the reference to the mirror on the cover of Time magazine because finally, Time recognized me as person of the year.

You are the person of the year every year in my book, Arin. Except for 1993. You were waaaay off that year.
